- Hello,
-
- I'm a french student looking for tools that
- would permit me to use a Paradox 5 database
- in a Borland C++ 4 program.
-
- I've heard it exists the Borland Database
- Engine, but some people told me It had to be
- distributed with my program to be executed...
-
- The problem is I'd only like to read this data
- base (no need of SQL and so on)...
-
- So:
- - Do I need the Database Engine?
- - If so, how many disks does it take?
-
- - If not, is there a place I could
- find a kind of 'patch' that would permit
- me to read the database?
-
- - Is there a possibility with Borland C++ 5
- to read a database without running the Data
- base engine? Is this necessary to provide
- it with my application?
-
- Thanks
- please, answer me using mail if possible.
-
- Read you soon
